| I have both a Nolan and an HJC modular helmet and I definitely like this more than either of them. The venting on the Nolan seems to work slightly better but not near enough for the difference in price or comfort. The helmet is probably the most comfortable full face helmet I've owned. The action on the lift works perfectly as does the face shield and I don't get the wierd tug above 65 mph like I get with the Nolan.
At first I wasn't sure about the dual visor, but the inner tinted visor has turned out to be a really nice feature and It will be a big adjustment if I have to get one with out it in the future.
On top of all this it's a real attention 'getter and I get a lot of compliments on the helmet. I'm very happy with my decision to buy it. |

| I had a hard time finding helmets to fit me so I was very nervouse ordering online. The helmet fits very well, comparable to a HJC and true to the size chart. Love the flip down dark visor! That is my favorite part! I don't have bags so that works great to have a clear and tinted visor all in the helmet. The venting is great, plus the grapics are some of the coolest I've seen. Very good deal for the price. I would rate it 4.5. |

| i ordered this for my dad..he was stoked.fit snug,comfy,didnt squeeze where his glasses wouldnt fit right .said its the best helmet hes ever owned.and hes had over 20 years to make that decision.its ready for whatever condition.awesome graphics gets plenty of compliments and everyone wants to try it on and not take it off.took it a min to figure out the tinted visor so i guess it was good to read the instr. def get what you pay for! |

| I ordered one size smaller then normal, and it is a great fit. I love the flip up face, and the dual visor. The Aviator Skull gets alot of comments, most can't believe this is not a custom air-brushed paint job. Price was awesome too. This helmet is a bit louder with the wind noise, but no annoying whistles or anything like that. Lets you hear more of the road. In 20-40*F weather, you need cold protection on your cheaks, chin, and neck as this helmet breaths awesome. Thanks as always LeatherUp! |

| I really like this helmet. It is very comfortable and the built in darkened visor is outstanding. The optics on the drop down visor are a little bit distorted to the sides but still an improvement over sunglasses that can't be changed quickly to adapt to riding conditions without stopping.
Sizing according to the chart was right on. |

| Another gift for my son. He rides daily on the interstate and catches the sun on way to work and coming from work, the helmet's dual visor is a great must have feature. Not only is this helmet a cool looking piece of art , it is a must have here in FL, with the hot weather we have .
It's looks even better in person. |

| This helmet is the greatest, its like having 2 helmets in one and for someone that wears glasses its really great. I rode a couple hours on the interstate with full face keeping the cold and bugs off my face when the sun came out I just pushed the button and down came the tinted visor no sun glasses over my glasses and when the sun went behind the clouds and it began raining just push the button and raise the sun visor out of your way. When I got off the interstate on the mountain roads at much slower speeds and wanted a 3/4 helmet for a better view I just moved the full face up out of my way and still when the sun came out just lower the tinted viser and at all times I was able to wear my glasses its just totally great and to top it all off I get lots of good comments on the graphics. |

| Cool design, comfortable fit. The sun visor is a great feature. There are a few downfalls such as the helmet whisles when you have the vent on the top closed, no big deal just kind of anoying. Also the plastic sounds brittle, kind of makes a slight cracking noise when i pull it on with the straps. overall good helmet. |

| worth every dollar, the flip up duel visor is the only way to go, the sun shield is great & that meens you wont have to stop & put sun glasses on.
the fit is a bit tight around the jaws but should loosen up in time. i got my helmet before i could open my door, like in two days, i wasnt even expecting it but when i was checking it transit it said it was delivered, & it was. wow great service. i will tell all my friends to shop here. thanks leatherup. steve jackson |

| this was my first helmet ive ever bought. fits great. the graphics are the bomb. everyone that sees it asks me where i got it from. very comfortable, fits nice and snug, but not overly. the internal sun visor, comes in very useful if you forget your shades. absolutely love the way the helmet flips up. one great helmet. will be ordering much more stuff from leatherup. |

| This helmet was an amazing buy and Leather Up had a fast response time on my order because it was at my house in 2 days! The best thing on this helmet is the flip down visor. I use it all the time in the morning and afternoon and being able to open the front of the helmet really makes putting the helmet on and taking it off a breeze. The venting is good from under the helmet but the vent cover on top whistles a little when it's closed while riding. The outside size is a little on the bulky side and I feel like the length front to back is long, but the inside fit was spot on for me according to the chart. Overall, excellent choice and I'm looking forward to purchasing from this site again! |

| I want to first start my review by saying for the price I paid..it has been the best value I can get..better then paying almost $300.00 for other modulars..
Fit: I ordered a large..lots of cushion padding on head,cheeks and even on the chin strap!
Style: I love the grinning skull on the back..and the drop down sunglasses are great..I did a ride with just them for protection..they worked great..more air is able to get around your eyes so you may want to put on other glasses if wind bothers you or if you are in dusty areas
I rode with the shield up..it does make a little noise (plastic on plastic sound) but as far as wind in the ear...none to be had.. and you can hold your head normally with barely any pulling on the go
The air vents are great too..one by the forehead and one by the mouth (Great on these very very hot 3 digit Texas days)
You gotta push the red button in really good to get the actual modular piece up...and the slider that controls the sunglasses you just need a little practice to do it with full finger gloves on
I have received some great comments about this helmet...looks it has..but it is not all fluff..great helmet to protect you..it is worth your money

| The graphics on the helmet are constantly always being complimented by many fellow riders who think its a highly priced modular helmet. The glossy finish, red stars/white skull stands out. I even wear a skull mask in the cold morning underneath it with the face up to see the cage riders expressions and then close it during highway runs.
The helmet is lightweight but seems really flimsy compared to my old Shoei full face helmets but is very comfortable during long rides in the slowly warming temps of Central Texas. So far 80 mile run today round trip through the hills/freeways. Strong winds at times and there is really little head buffeting if you know what I mean. Vents on top worked great and chin vent keeps visor ventilated and clear.
Dual visor is nice but cheaply made. Seems like after a few days of riding with the helmet the tinted interior screen cant seem to stay up during night riding. As long as yours clicks and locks in place it will be fine.
I say A- on modular design. A on sizing and fit. Quality and durability is maybe a B-/C. Graphics are super A . The price cant be beat for DOT. Its worth the buy. Thanks for the great deal "LEATHER-UP!" |

| BUY THIS HELMET!!! I am a die hard HJC user. A HJC helmet saved my life so I have never deflected until now. I dropped my helmet like an idiot and cracked the side, it was an old one and in my vast search I stumbled upon this one. I wanted a modular helmet and the equvilant for hjc would be 4 times as much. Only thing I dont like is I live in Fresno California where it averages 100's in the summer so ventilation is a must! The 2 vents that this has works ok but on a 85 day its not enough. The head vent only circulates air through the liner which doesnt really keep you cool. I absolutely love the modular design, I am the habitual one that opens the shield at every stop in this case I can open the face, and ride and smoke if I want to lol. It does kinda of hang up about half way up you just gotta open it hard. The drop down sun visor is AWSOME! I cant tell you how many times I've stabbed myself with sunglasses in this case its a simple switch up and down, have even rode with the face up and just the visor down (not reccomended for safety but oh well)... Fortiounately I can say I have not crash tested this helmet and I dont plan on it, it does scuff kind of easily but as long as the face is down it feels pretty sturdy. The chin strap has a snap on it to keep it from flapping you in chin, has saved my temper alot vs. my HJC. Sizeing on it is just about correct, I oversized by 1 size, is slightly loose but I know if I had gone to the correct size it would have been too small.
Overall price vs. features and design... (hope leatherup doesnt read this) this helmet is wayyyy underpriced!!! Shipping was pretty quick, dont like the 1-3 day delay after order but leatherup did get it out the next day so kudos to them. They could easily get $200 or more for it. Happy shopping... ride safe!!! |
