Kurt C. from Dearborn Heights, MI:
Terrific price for this jacket! I'm 5' 11' tall, chest size 46 with waist 36 with a little bit of a belly and chose a size Large. The fit with the liner installed and just a teeshirt was snug but a very good fit! If you plan to wear a sweatshirt or something more heavy go with the XL. No issues with the neck strap choaking me at all. You have good adjustments with the velcro for your waist and enough pockets to carry things like a cell phone. I've ridden in 48 degree and the jacket with the liner installed and was very comfortable. Without the liner on cool mornings, my wrists got a little cool but my gloves could have been a little longer and that would have stopped some of the air blowing up the sleive. I don't have experience riding in the rain so I can't comment on how waterproof the jacket is. All in all it will be a lot cooler than my leather for the summer and it is well worth the price. Hope this help! Cheers... Kurt...

Brenda U. from EDEN PRAIRIE, MN:
I bought this jacket for my 17-yr old. He is tall and thin. I liked that the waist sides could be adjusted for a better fit. He is 5'11; 150 pounds. The medium size jacket fits perfect. Expecially for his long arms. It fits nicely for the shoulders and is roomy, but not big looking. The inside lining is great for Minnesota weather of cool in the mornings, but then can be removed for warm afternoons. And even without the lining, the jacket still fits well. Shipping was very quick!

doug mercer from Palm Coast, FL:
My experiences with Xelement jackets from Leatherup have been good news and disappointing news. They are always an excellent value with lots of features, but their sizing is so unpredictable, it may take you several tries to find one that fits--and then again, you may have to give it up and go to a store where you can try on each jacket. A few years ago, I ordered a very nice leather jacket in my normal size and it fit fine. This most recent attempt to find a textile motorcycle jacket ended in failure after severeal tries. I followed all the advice from reviewers on another style Xelement textile motorcycle jacket and ordered a 2XL, when I usually wear a Large or XL in most every other kind of menswear. (I'm 6', 195 lbs. w/o beer gut.) And I still found that parts of it were too big and other parts were pretty snug. I returned it and ordered again. The next order, I tried this one in an XL and found it to be very tight in the chest and short in the length, but the sleeves were baggy at the wrists and the collar strap had only one snap that would have been too tight. It had a few little quirks or oddities with design features that were annoying, but not necessarily deal breakers: the sleeves need velcro at the wrist and collar, so they can be adjusted to fit the rider and the back of the jacket is on the short side and could cause you some unwanted buttcrack ventilation. This jacket is a great value with a lot of features for the money, but it just wouldn't work for me in the size and fit department. If you're patient and willing to risk some shipping expenses to return a jacket or two, you could wind up with a good fit on a nice jacket at a very moderate price. Good luck!

Alexander S. from Saltstraumen, Nordland:
The jacket looks and feels better than on the pic's and video. I'm 5"10 and 170 lbs, and I ordered a Large. So, one size up from what I normaly wear. It also has a zipper in the lower back, for attaching pants. The fit was perfect, it's room enough for a fleece jacket under it. I haven't used it yet, so I cant't comment on durability, but it looks like good workmanship. Pads and armor also looks good, and is located at the right place. I'm going to use it north of the arctic circle, in Norway this summer. So I will write another review after the trip.

Unbelievably great jacket for the money. Costing only $69 I wasn't expecting something this nice. I did buy one size larger, as suggested by many, and that was the way to go. Jacket fit perfect and looks great. Tried it out the next day in 50 degree weather and I was comfy and cozy. I highly recommend to anyone to buy this jacket before they realize how good it is and raise the prices.

Just got my Jacket yesterday, and took a long ride with it, Love it!!!. the quality is good, and fits well. I am 6 feet 2, 200 pounds, and an XL fit me like a glove. I did read a number of reviews before I bought this jacket which was extremly helpful in the decision making. So I m taking time out of my day to write this for others to see. This is a good jacket for the price. the protection is good and liner is warm and easily can be taken out. The delivery was timely. Thanks Leather up. Sam from PA

Adam H. from BLUE SPRINGS, MO:
It's just as nice both in looks and qaulity as a first gear jacket I bought 8 years ago. As for fit, I was worried as I have read a lot of different opinions. I'm 5'9" and weigh 165lbs...I'm pretty slim and a little bit muscular in the chest, shoulders, arms and have about 5-7lbs extra around the stomach and love handle area. I ordered a medium. With a t-shirt on underneath it fits perfect for a motorcycle jacket with the liner and armor in. However, if you are use to loose or baggy outfits or plan on wearing more then a t-shirt on underneath then it may come across as snug and you may want one size larger. But keep in mind that a motorcycle jacket, suit, or helmet is suppose to fit a little on the snug side to keep the armor in the proper position. So this jacket fits snug, but not tight and I have full range of breathing and movement with no restriction and it's comfortable. Sleeve length is perfect for my size. Armor seems ok but it's not like hard armor in a race suit. I might put an extra piece of foam in the back area, but other then that I think it should provide decent protection in a crash. It does not have a waistline back or full circumfrence zipper for attaching pants. Made in Pakistan and I have mixed feelings on that. Price is very reasonable therefore if somebody steals it off your bike, you won't go broke trying to replace it. Overall, I'm pretty happy with it and would recommend it to others.

clint m. from CINCINNATI, OH:
This jacket is great...especially for only $63 ($70 - 10% sale). It looks great, fits great and is an awesome value. I wasn't sure what size to order given all the discussion about whether to buy bigger than normal or not. I'm 6'4", 190lbs, 34" waist. I normally get L or XL sizes for shirts/jackets. I went for an XL and it fits perfect...not too loose with just a t-shirt, not too tight with three or so layers and the jacket liner. I think those people recommending 2 or more sizes than normal might be on the (ahem) bigger size to begin with. I was worried the sleeves wouldn't be long enough (my normal shirt sleeve is 34/35), but they too are perfect. The only issue is that the body of the jacket is a little short...maybe 1-2 in...but for riding that doesnt matter. Overall, really happy with it. Looks great, fits great and the price was right!

I love the jacket it's exactly what I wanted. My problem is that the jacket was shipped with a torn out pocket, the entire bottom of the pocket was torn out. $2.00 and the local cleaners and NOW it's good as new. Torn pocket or not I will still order from this website, until the next mistake.

I have been riding in 40 degree weather and this jacket keeps me warm. I ordered one size larger. Would not have been able to wear extra clothing underneath if I had ordered my regular size. Sleeves are long when not riding on a bike. Zipper on removable liner was sewn into liner of jacket. Had to cut threads and resew zipper about 2 inches. Stains on jacket sleeves also, but they came off with a damp cloth. Overall a nice jacket for the price.

Very happy with the jacket !!! Very comfortable and thanks to all the other reviews. I bought a one size larger than I normally wear and glad I did. I can wear and extra sweatshirt and the arms are perfect when my arms are extended. So far very warm for my rides in the AM and late PM. Would definitely recommend this jacket !!!

The jacket is a bit lighter than I expected, the fit was good and the build quality seems solid for the price. The only problem I have with the jacket is that when putting your arms in the sleeve you can hit the velcro attachments for the elbow armor. Not a huge problem but it does annoy me.

William M. from LONGWOOD, FL:
Nice jacket for the price. Blocks the cold air very well. Made with a plastic material so you will have the plasticy mesh like sound when moving around. My main issue is with the pockets. I was riding and the two lower front pockets opened up and I lost a cellphone and garage door opener. Was very expensive waste. I am not sure if the wind underneath was pushing the pockets open or if the zipper is just loosens on long rides.

Ordered jacked along with helmets, should have paid more attention to the notes on the size. The jackets do run small just as most reviews stated. We order the 3XL and should have ordered a couple of sizes larger. We have returned for an exchange and are just waiting for that to come. I will order from this site again.

Great jacket for the money! Im 5'11", 210lbs. I ordered one size up as suggested (2X). Fits perfect! Unbelievable value. I didn't expect the jacket to be this nice for the price. With the liner I can stay comfortable riding in 40 degree temps. Plenty of adjustments with the jacket for a perfect fit.

Robert D. from Pleasantville, Somewhere:
Was a little wary of quality since it was my first time ordering from LeatherUp. For the price, jacket is amazing. I ordered a large (I'm 5'7" and weigh 160. Fits pretty well, only complaint is that elbow padding is slightly too far down towards my forearm. Also, I have a feeling that the lining that is attached to the jacket (not the removable one) seems like it will tear at the seams relatively quickly. 3 days after receiving the jacket, I took a spill and though I was only going about 15-20mph, this jacket saved my elbow and shoulder, and still looks brand new. Walked away with a just some scrapes and bruises- If you don't have an armored jacket, you need one! Oh, I've been wearing it without the removable liner- It's been about 75-80 degrees and sunny. With just a t-shirt underneath, this jacket gets really hot. If looking for a light, summer jacket this is not it. Should be great for fall (and with liner it should be good for mild winter riding) Will definitely order from LU again.

I am very happy with my purchase. I am 5'7" and 180# and ordered a Large and it's a perfect fit. You don't even notice that the armor is in the jacket. Very comfortable. Sleeves are a little long which makes it nice so they don't ride up too far when you're riding.

my wife bought me this jacket for our anniversary this year and i think it's a great jacket. the fit is just right. some said to get a size larger, but i stuck with my size and it fits great. with the liner out it's not too hot for warm days, with it in, just right for cool to cold days. It's a good product at a great price. We've tried a couple of other websites and always send the products back because of poor quality. You can't beat leatherup, and we are now lifetime customers. thanks leatherup, keep up the great job.

Roxane P. from SANDY, UT:
The tabs on the zippers are annoying but easily removed. The material isn't as tough feeling as other jackets I've seen. It's softer feeling. The fit of the jacket is great, although I wish it were a bit longer on the torso. It's pretty lightweight for a jacket. I've ridden in it in warm and cold temperatures. The zip-in liner is fairly thin but I've found it goes a long ways to keeping you warm on cold nights or days. It is waterproof I found out. Rode in it for an hour in some heavy rain and stayed dry. Without the liner it's great for warm days while moving. My only complaint is the cuffs. Maybe it's the position of my handle bars but wind blows right up the sleeves and hit my arm pits. That's pretty nice for warm days but brutal on cold days. Velco might be more ideal.

This was part of my first purchase from LeatherUp....I am most satisfied with this jacket. It is windproof and really warm on cool days. Yes....order a size up and you will also find the sleeves a little long but that is good for riding. It has copious pockets and many adjustment points. Really a quality riding jacket for the money. I will be buying from LeatherUp in the future....

This jacket is a great buy for $69! I ordered a size up and it fits perfect. Just the look and feel of the jacket gives a person the sense of quality and value. Is it the same as a $400 jacket? No. Am I going to buy a $400 jacket with a huge lame ass logo on it so everyone can see how cool I am? No. Good jacket for the price, bottom line.

Scott F. from APOLLO BEACH, FL:
Just received jacket today. As I unpacked the jacket, I was pleasantly surprised by the weight and the quality of the jacket. I immediately tried it on. I'm 6.2, 200lbs and an XL large fit snug with the lining in, a polo shirt and an undershirt on. The snug fit is a good thing since you don't want loose fabric flapping in the wind especially on the highway with no windshield. I also liked the adjustable snaps on the sleeves, again preventing loose fabric. The armor seems solid and stays in position well. I removed the zip out lining and the jacket still fits very well and is comfortable. All in all a great jacket for the price. Note: I have yet to ride with it on, but just wanted to give my first impression of the jacket.
